Insurance Industry Asset Allocation Studies
Every year the Insurance Asset Management group performs an analysis of how the insurance industry, as a whole, allocates its assets. This nationally recognized analysis is available on an interactive basis to everyone.
The study breaks down the holdings into seven asset classes - Government bonds, Municipal bonds, Cash, Corporate bonds, Equity, Preferred Stock, and Other Assets. You can look at the allocation at either year end or over the last five years. You can also filter the companies by type, size, and line of business.
