Trust and Estate Administration
The heart of the Trust Companies' value is our expertise in acting as trustee or executor, and in doing so, providing continuity in your family's financial arrangements. Each estate or trust is assigned a team consisting of your portfolio manager, a trust or estate administrator, a tax accountant and a supervising attorney.

We administer all types of personal trusts, from the simplest form of living trust to complicated estate planning vehicles. We also act as custodian of Individual Retirement Accounts, and as trustee of pension and institutional trusts.

Service as trustee typically includes:

  • Investment management

  • Custody of assets

  • Selection of brokers

  • Collection and valuation of assets

  • Bill paying, recordkeeping and accountings

  • Tax return preparation and filing

  • Income tax planning for trusts, grantors and beneficiaries

  • Review and analysis of Will and Trust documents

  • Periodic family meetings

  • Determination of distribution strategies in accordance with the wishes of the grantor and the needs of the beneficiaries
